My Written Diary
The Thoughts I Think! |
|
"Mommy, what am I
made of?"
Little
one, you are made of subtle stuff, in the
image (for
want of a better word) of the divine.
You can feel
Love
and express
Joy, and when you are really still to
your core, your deeper characteristics will
mature.
You have the ability to be
Honest
with out fear and
Tolerant
in the face of anything, you are
Gentle
by nature and without any need, for you are
also
Defenseless.
You have your
Father's
Spirit of
Generosity
so Patience
comes naturally to you, and of course there
is your deep and abiding
Faithfulness that will see you
through all your tribulations.
Most important of all though, my little one,
you are
Open-minded, you are free not to
judge your brothers and sisters and by so
doing, all that which I have already told
you shall come to pass.
Be still now my little one and rest, you are
perfectly safe
Now
and always in the arms of
Love...

"What is it YOU
really Think?" |
|

There are two ways of thinking, there is our
mundane thinking in the world, thoughts like
"What time is it" and "What's
for dinner, I'm starving". Then there
is our higher thinking like "My
interests are your interests" and
"We are all One under the sun"
So, we could look at the former or mundane
thinking as horizontal thought, and the
later or higher thinking as vertical
thought. Horizontal thought makes
our physical world and vertical thought
Creates our Spiritual Awareness.
In a way when we are thinking horizontally
we are not doing anything any goat in a
field cannot do, but when we think
vertically we are
being
like God, we are
thinking
like God and we are
Creating
like God.
Spare a moment to think about HOW
you are thinking, it doesn't take long, just
five minutes a day where you decide to clear
your mind of all the minutia of your life
and search for something you have in common
with another.
You will soon find you want to have a clear
mind more of the time, and as you are
elevated
in your thinking, miraculous thought
discoveries will start occurring to you.
We are "wanting machines" that's how we
accumulate possessions and ideas, we simply
"want" them, imagine if you decided to focus
your ability to "want" when you were
stilling your mind? Imagine the power of God
"wanting" you, and you "wanting" the power
of God, WOW!
So, just take a few minutes now and "want"
something you can share with the world,
Peace, Happiness, Joy, Love, there are many
worthy attributes that lay dormant within us
that will
come alive if we
"want" them to...

"What is
Open-Mindedness?" |
|
What is Open-Mindedness and why is it such a
sound posture on which to base our
decisions?
To understand open-mindedness we need to
look at it's opposite, closed-mindedness,
close-mindedness
comes from an unwillingness to over-look
that which we are fearful of. We refuse to
examine new ways of thinking because they
may not fit with accepted moral or social
norms, we don't want to be seen as straying
from the flock.
Old ideas and superstitions about God and
the nature of creation are rigidly held onto
even though they are obviously false to
anyone who personally examines them. The
idea that one can expect salvation simply by
believing certain things held to be
true by religious groups is a perfect
example of the irresponsibility of organized
religion and its followers.
On the other hand, open-mindedness leads us
to question everything, how does salvation
really work, is it just simply a matter of
bowing ones head and uttering a certain
promise to some imaginary deity, or is there
something else involved.
The open-minded leave not their lives or
their minds, in the hands of others, they
take the
initiative in everything and they are
willing to stand alone, outside the flock if
that is what it will take to reach Truth.
I quote here from
A Course in Miracles - Manual for
Teachers, on the subject of open-mindedness:
"How do
the open-minded forgive? They have let go
all things that would prevent forgiveness.
They have in truth abandoned the world, and
let it be restored to them in newness and in
joy so glorious they could never
have
conceived of such a change. Nothing is now
as it was formerly. Nothing but sparkles now
which seemed so dull and lifeless before.
And above all are all things welcoming, for
threat is gone. No clouds remain to hide the
face of Christ. Now is the goal achieved.
Forgiveness is the final goal of the
curriculum. It paves the way for what goes
far beyond all learning. The curriculum
makes no effort to exceed its legitimate
goal. Forgiveness is its single aim, at
which all learning ultimately converges. It
is indeed enough."
